Announcement: Saturdays In Rome Substack

We wanted to take a minute to thank our subscribers and let you know about some upcoming changes that we hope you will enjoy. Please review the notes below and let us know if you have any questions.
Action:
We will be migrating our subscriber list from our other email management system: MailChimp, over to here on Substack. This will take place over the course of the next couple of weeks and it will include changes that we think you will enjoy.
In addition to the weekly article that is published here that focuses on travel with more of an editorial tone, you will begin to receive the SaturdaysInRome.com newsletter. This is published 3 times per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The newsletter is in a “minimalist” format (see example below) with links to interesting articles focusing on the Sites, Culture, Food, Getting Around Rome and Outside Rome.
The newsletters are intended to be quick reads so that you don’t feel overwhelmed by emails. We’ve gotten a positive response on the format, so we hope you will also enjoy the additional content.
Background:
We’ve decided that MailChimp does not supply the functionality we use for our newsletter at a competitive price, so we will be ending our relationship with them. Substack offers tools and functionality that are close to meeting our needs and any gaps will be addressed with other tools.
